About Kenmore

Nestled at the eastern end of Loch Tay, the charming village of Kenmore is one of Highland Perthshire’s true gems. With its whitewashed cottages, stone bridge, and stunning backdrop of mountains and water, Kenmore offers visitors a peaceful retreat steeped in natural beauty and Scottish heritage.

Founded in the 16th century as part of the Taymouth Castle estate, the village retains much of its traditional character. The elegant Kenmore Hotel dates back to 1572 and claims to be Scotland’s oldest inn.

The name “Kenmore” comes from the Scots-Gaelic Cean Mhor, which means “big head(land).”

Our Purpose

To promote Kenmore and the surrounding area as a place to visit, have fun, eat and drink; to share events, experiences, activities and provide information about the area’s heritage and history.
